On this lively walking tour, you’ll explore the city’s standout sights while Rob brings Calgary’s past and present to life through immersive storytelling, local insight, and upbeat live music along the way.
Your route includes a mix of iconic landmarks and downtown gems such as the Calgary Tower, the Wonderland Sculpture, Fairmont Palliser Hotel, the Calgary Central Library, Studio Bell (National Music Centre), and more. As you walk, you’ll hear behind-the-scenes stories, surprising historical moments, and the kind of context that turns a photo stop into a real connection with the city.
This experience is designed to be interactive rather than scripted. Depending on the group’s pace and interests, Rob may add extra “hidden gem” stops, share short songs inspired by Alberta history, and even offer an optional two-step lesson to add a touch of western spirit to your day.
To wrap up, each group receives a signed copy of Rob’s award-winning historical fiction book—filled with over 250 Alberta history facts—so you can take a piece of the story home with you after your walk through Calgary.

#2 History Wrangler’s The Cowboy Trail, Hollywood North/“Heartland Show” Pickup Truck Tour- $650.00 CDN- Full day (Maximum of 4)
This wonderful tour includes The Calgary Stampede grounds, home of the "Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!", where I have performed many times over the years, the historic Bow Valley Ranche, home of the Three Distinguished Ranchers, the Cowboy Trail, where I've been the official Ambassador for almost a decade, the sacred Big Rock, a visit to Turner Valley (where the big oil discovery took place in 1914) and a visit to High River where Superman movies and "Heartland" (Canada's longest TV series) have been filmed. The tour also includes the historic Bar U ranch where "The Sundance Kid" worked for two years and Academy Award winning film, Unforgiven, starring Clint Eastwood,was filmed.
Finally, my tour includes live music, including over lunch and some pleasant surprises as well! YaHoo!

#3 The History Wranglers’ "In Search of Dinosaurs” and a visit to the Blackfoot First Nation of Siksika Pickup Truck Tour - $650.00 CDN, Full day (Maximum of 4)
Overview of this tour
This tour combines the fascinating history and culture of the great First Nation of Siksika and their great Chief Crowfoot who signed Treaty 7 on behalf of the Blackfoot Confederacy at Blackfoot Crossing on September 22, 1877.
It also encompasses a journey to Drumheller, land of dinosaurs and coal mines and a visit to the world-renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum! In addition to this, we'll get to hike at the Hoodoos rock formations that have been carved into pillar-like shapes over millions of years and visit the Horseshoe Canyon (approximately 72 million old) which seems to be "out of this world".
These places are personal to me as the heroes in my historical fiction books are from both Drumheller and the Siksika Nation. I received 2 awards for one book, and the other was judged as one Canada's finest First Nation books
Next, I also, provide a live concert during a meal at a vintage restaurant with my guitar as well as perform a few other classic songs along the way!
